Raising a Movement Note

Movement notes are useful for various actions, such as collecting or handling an incoming Item or delivery of an Item to a customer, client or storage space. You can raise movement notes for any of the live Items contained in a Job.

To raise a movement note

1. Click on the left of the screen and select a Job from the list.
2. Click Reports at the top of the screen and select Movement Note.
3. You will be able to configure Movement Types at set-up but the following Movement Note types are default. Select the type of movement this will be from the dropdown menu at the top of the screen. You can choose from the following options:

   Collection Note Handling-In Note	Inward: These are raised for Items coming in to your premises.
   Delivery Note Handling-Out Note	Outward: These are raised when you deliver out to a customer or client.
   Warehouse On-Site Services Note On-Site Services Note Warehouse Transfer Note	Stationary: These are raised for internal movements and transfers within your premises.

   Once you have selected your type of movement, you will not be able to change it. If you have made a mistake and chosen one of the options in error, click Cancel at the bottom left of the screen and start again.
4. Select the Items you want to include in your movement note by placing a next to the Item in the far left column. You can select multiple Items by holding CTRL while selecting multiple rows and clicking next to Selected or you can select all the Items in the list by clicking next to All.
5. Enter the movement details:

   Date	Click to set the date of movement.
   Move From	Click and from the pop-up window, select the address the Item(s) are being moved from.
   Move From Notes	Add any additional information about this address (e.g. “rear office”).
   Move To	Click and from the pop-up window, select the address the Item(s) are being moved to.
   Move To Notes	Add any additional information about this address (e.g. “upstairs office”).
   Notes	Add any information relevant to the movement as a whole.
   Cash on Movement	Select this option if cash needs to be received or paid on arrival of the Item(s).
   Condition Check Required	Select this option if the condition of the Item(s) needs to be assessed on arrival.
   More	Tick all remaining text boxes according to which information you would included on the movement note.

6. When you’ve entered all the details required in your movement note, it by selecting one of the options on the bottom left of the screen.
7. When you’ve completed your movement note, click Done.

When you Email, Save or Print your movement note, the information is locked. However, you can make limited changes through the Movements screen.
